The overarching goal of the job and wealth creation scheme is to equip participants with the technical know-how, vocational/technical skills, values and resources to become self-employed and employers of labour.

Everything that we do is motivated by our desire to continue to build a Stronger Delta for all our citizens – especially our youth.

Getting the youths engaged is in line with this administration’s commitment to making the youths job creators through the different youths employment and wealth creation programmes that we have.

Our young people must also learn to pay attention to the needs of the society and find creative ways to address these needs. This is because, those who can create opportunities by solving other people’s problems, will always have opportunities for wealth creation.

We must face the reality of today's turbulent economy. Even the best graduates are likely to remain unemployed for a while after their graduation. Consequently, the solution to this problem lies in job creation through entrepreneurship.
